What to do when your laptop monitor goes blank

For today’s post, I want to touch about computer technical problem. Since last week I was struggling to repair my laptop which I borrowed for a while from my brother while I’m working at JB here. Actually I’m not familiar with laptop. Just a little knowledge about it. The problem is I need internet connection to do my work. So my laptop has become vulnerable to the virus attack.

I think since last two weeks, I have formatted this laptop twice and it is tricky to do this because I need to backup all the data first especially my bro’s files. So I need to do this and that before I can format it normally and after that I need to install back the drivers and all the softwares needed. However, yesterday I got a problem again. My video driver might be corrupted and the monitor became unstable. Each time I tried to run a game which requires high graphic, the monitor display will stuck and after I restart, it will become dark (black display) eventhough the hard drive is running and I can hear the Windows starting sound. If I shut down the laptop and then turn on it back, the display will still remain blank. I tried everything to recover it back but it's still not working. I was afraid that if the LCD panel is broken, then my money for sure will fly away… However, after doing some research, then I found a really good solution for this problem. I don’t remember which forum I entered but it seems that many people are having the same problem like mine. The good thing is the solution is so simple until even the computer technical specialist was impressed with that guy who found the solution.

So, if next time you are having a problem that your laptop monitor display suddenly goes blank which is no light at all, you just need to turn off your laptop, unplug the power cable, remove the battery, and hold the power button for 30-60 seconds. After that plug in your power cable back and try to boot. If ok, just shut down and put your battery back (if you want to which I suggest you remove the battery if you want to use the power cable). That’s it.

That method really works for me and lots of people in that forum. However, if it is not working, maybe there are other problems with the monitor such as bad inverter or corrupted mainboard. So I hope this solution will help you out if you have this problem someday…
